Empowering the Youth

The Rozgar Mela is not just about handing out appointment letters; it’s about empowering the youth and providing them with meaningful opportunities. Prime Minister Modi has consistently emphasized the importance of youth participation in the country’s growth and development. This event aligns with his vision by offering employment to thousands of deserving candidates.

iGOT Karmayogi Portal for Skill Development

To ensure that the newly appointed recruits are well-prepared for their roles, the government has introduced the Karmayogi Prarambh program. This initiative is part of the iGOT Karmayogi portal, offering access to over 680 e-learning courses. The flexibility of “anywhere, any device” learning is designed to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge for their government positions.

A Continuation of Commitment

This massive job distribution isn’t an isolated event. It builds upon Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to create 10 lakh (1 million) government jobs. Last year, on October 22, he launched the ‘Rozgar Mela’ campaign, marking the beginning of this ambitious endeavor. Since then, the government has already provided job letters to 5.5 lakh (550,000) youth across the nation.

Minister Verma’s Remarkable Efforts

Union Minister BL Verma, while acknowledging the government’s dedication to reducing unemployment, highlighted the recent accomplishments of the Rozgar Mela scheme. In August this year, Verma personally handed over appointment letters to 250 candidates who were part of the 1,000 selected for various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, and ITBP.

Verma further stated that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has undertaken a comprehensive recruitment drive through Mission Recruitment. This initiative has resulted in filling around one lakh (100,000) posts, with approximately 87,000 vacancies in CAPFs now filled.

The scope of recruitment extends to multiple vital organizations, including Assam Rifles, Narcotics Control Bureau, Delhi Police, and more. These efforts reflect the government’s dedication to strengthening the nation’s security apparatus while simultaneously addressing the issue of unemployment.

Prime Minister Modi’s distribution of 51,000 appointment letters in the Rozgar Mela is a pivotal step towards realizing the government’s commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment. As India continues to focus on building a skilled and capable workforce, such initiatives play a vital role in shaping the nation’s future.
